Saturday Skincare Line

I really enjoyed this skincare line from Saturday skin. I received these from a Voxbox a few weeks ago from Influenster for review purposes. I remember getting it for the first time and I was so excited! I have tested these products out for a few weeks. So here are my true and honest thoughts. You can read my reviews on Sephora as well.

Rise+Shine Gentle Cleanser - I loved this! First off I want to say is that I do have combo skin. Some areas are oily and some are dry. But sometimes my oily areas can get dry too. Which is weird. LOL. It has a nice very slight citrus scent. This cleanser is gentle. It didn't strip my skin to where it was feeling dry & tight. My skin actually felt normal after cleansing. Even soft. This is suppose to help with texture issues, dullness, dryness, and loss of firmness. Well I did notice that it help with some texture issues I've been having. It did help with my dryness too. My face did look brighter when using it, but at the same time I have been using a vitamin c brightening serum too. Which I have already talked about recently. Now for the firmness, I can't tell just yet. I haven't used it long enough to notice it. Plus I'm still kind of young (30..LOL) and don't have much fine lines except my forehead.The formula is a whipped gel formula. You put a very small amount, I use about a dime size. Then emulsify between your fingers, then it kind of starts to foam up. It foams up to a texture like of like shaving cream. It does leave my skin feeling clean and fresh without stripping it. It didn't break me out or give me any weird reaction to it. This is great for all skin types.I would definitely purchase this myself whenever I run out of this one.

Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel - A refining peel gel that gently and visibly removes impurities and dullness with natural enzymes like papaya and bromelain. I have used this a few times, and enjoy using it. This didn't strip my skin, and it didn't cause any reaction to my skin. After each use my skin did seem a little brighter and more cleaner. The claims of what it does it pretty much the same as the cleanser. After cleansing your face, and patting it dry. You use a small amount of this, and rub it on your face in circular motions for 1 minute. Then rinse with warm water. You can use it once to twice a week. This is great for all skin types. I would purchase this myself whenever I run out as well.

Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream - I loved this as well! This is a lightweight daily moisturizer. It absorbs into the skin so nicely. It made my skin feel so soft. This is great for all skin types. This claims to help with dry skin, dullness, and fine lines / wrinkles. This does help with my dryness, and made my skin look brighter. It did help with the fine lines in my forehead, but I'm also using a power serum as well. Which I will talk about soon. This features a patented peptide complex with nutrient fruit extracts that improve the look of the skin. And Avocado protein extracts help strengthen the appearance of skin barrier, while antioxidants like peach extract promote maximum hydration and promote a supple look and feel of skin. This didn't cause any reaction to my skin. I will purchase this myself when I run out.

Quench Intense Hydration Mask - I loved this mask! This felt sooo good! My skin felt so hydrated and so soft after using it. It has hyaluronic acid that replenishes moisture, while watermelon and aloe naturally hydrate and refresh. This suppose to help dryness, fine lines/wrinkles, and redness. This did help with my dryness, and helped calm some of my redness. I think that with regular use that it would help my redness even more. But I only had 1. This is a sheet mask. It did conformed to my face very well. This is great for all skin types.

I believe Saturday Skin is cruelty free. If I'm wrong, please let me know. Overall I love the brand so far. I love how it makes my skin look and feel. I'm testing out other skincare products that I will be talking about soon. I will be doing a video on these as well. This is my 100% honest review on these products.

Colourpop Haul - Part 1

Today I've got a Colourpop haul!! I say it's part 1 because I have another order coming. This one you're about to see is actually my 2nd order I placed. My first order came in last week, but I got someone else's order instead of mine. They are sending me replacement order and they said I could keep the order that I received that wasn't mine. Which was so nice of them. I was prepared to send it back, but they said I could keep it. Such great customer service! My other order should be arriving on Saturday. So I'll show you what I got in this one, including the other items I got last week that wasn't mine. I can't wait to get my other order!

So here is a run down of what I got. I will be doing a video on my haul that will go up either this weekend or early next week. I'm waiting to get my other order. I haven't decided if I want to break it down in 2 part video or put it all in 1 video. Which is by the way is soooo CUTE!!! I love the packaging! I wish the packaging was the actual packaging and not just the cardboard part you throw away after you open it. I love this stuff!! This has become a must have in my skincare routine. My skin loves it! As you can see I've used it quite a bit. But for me I don't need much to cover my face. I use 1 pump in the morning, and 1 at night. Sometimes just half a pump is just fine for me.
I have been using it for about almost 4 weeks now. I use it at least once a day, but most of the time I use it twice a day. I put it on clean dry skin before my moisturizer. My skin drinks it up! I have combo skin. This doesn't make my skin oily or greasy throughout the day. Since using it I have noticed that my face is slightly brighter. It doesn't break me out, or cause any weird reaction with my skin.

I always wait a few minutes before applying my power serum (I will talk about it in another post). Then once I feel that it has absorbed into my skin, then I will use the power serum next. I do the same thing. Then finally I will apply my day or night time moisturizer. This hasn't made my makeup look weird or anything. My makeup applies just fine over it. When it comes time to apply my moisturizer, it doesn't make it bunch up or do anything weird.

After the first few days of using it I did notice a slight difference in my skin as I stated earlier. But I've been using it now about 4 weeks, and my face seem brighter. Normally my face does seem dull most of the time. Then after I use a facial mask, it would seem brighter. But that never lasts long. But since using this my skin stays brighter, longer. It has helped lighten up some of my old acne scaring. I would get the small dark spot after a breakout would heal. Not always, but I did get one once in a while. It would take FOREVER to go away! But now with this serum, it has helped get rid of them a lot quicker. Also I have noticed that this is preventing any more acne dark spot scarring on me. When I run out of this, I will definitely purchase it again. Like I said before it is now a must have in my skincare routine.

Spring FabFitFun 2018 Box

Spring FabFitFun 2018 Box

I got my FabFitFun spring box a few days ago. This is one of my favorite subscription service. FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription service. Meaning you get a box every season. So you should get 4 boxes a year. It is $49 each box. But it's so worth it! You get so much in each box. You'll see what I mean once I show you what I got in mine. Also everything you get is full size! Except the sponsored item. Each box will have a sponsored item, but it's not always full size. It's usually a travel size. I'll tell you what the total value of the box is too.

This box is in support of Girl Rising. Each box is always supporting a charity, or foundation, or some type of awareness. Every box has always been towards a great cause. We got a bunch of goodies this time! But again, we always do! I have always loved every box I've ever gotten. There was 1 item missing from the spring box, everyone is missing it. There was a delay in getting an Anderson Lilley Candles, so they didn't want to delay releasing the spring box, so it will be shipped to us separately as soon as they receive them. They gave us a freebie item in the box to make up for that. So I can't wait to get that!

So now let's get into what I got.

Sorry about the lighting - it's a gloomy, raining day. Had to use a lamp to try to get some lighting.

I was excited to see I got a Murad item. I love Murad! It is the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion. I have tried several of their products, and loved most of what I've tried. But I haven't tried everything. I do use the Murad Anti-aging Anti-acne cleanser and the Murad Aha Bha exfoliating cleanser. So I can't wait to try this lotion!

 Next I got the ISH Lip Statement Palette by Ish Beauty (I think that's what they're called). Now I'm not a huge fan of lip palettes, but these colors are so pretty, and most are wearable that I will give this shot. I'm not sure about the reds yet, but I will try out the other colors. A lot of reds don't typically look good on me. LOL

I got the Physique 57 Massage Roller. I thought this was the weirdest contraption. LOL. But after reading about it, I'm definitely going to try to use it on a daily basis, and see if I see any improvements on my legs, arms, and my back. There was 4 different colors. There was a purple, Red, grey, and turquoise. Of course you can see I got the turquoise one.

I got an travel eye mask from Free People. There was 3 different colors. I got the grey with silver/gold stars. There was also a pink one with silver/gold stars and a mint green with silver/gold stars. Apparently this has a removable, non-toxic cooling insert to keep you looking and feeling refreshed. The strap is adjustable as well. I don't wear eye masks, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Next up is the KNC Beauty All natural collagen infused lip masks. There was 5 in a pack. They came with a pink cameo plastic pouch. I have gotten these before in a pack of 3 in a boxycharm recently. I haven't tried them out yet. But now I have 8! LOL I've gotta get to trying these out!

I got the Day Dreamer Tassel Earrings by Ettika. There was a black or pink ones. I got the pink ones as you can see. These are so cute and fun for spring/summer! I typically don't wear tassel earrings, but I'm definitely going to wear these. There was another jewelry that was a bracelet that has love on it, that I really wanted. But that's ok. I really do like these tassel earrings. I can't wait to wear these!

The next item I got is a Rachel Pally Reversible clutch in Bloom ( I believe the one I got is Bloom). There are 3 different ones that we could have gotten. I wanted the pink/mint green one. But I do really like the one I got. It's pretty too! Well all 3 are really pretty! I can't wait to get some use out of this clutch. Definitely going to be using it often for the spring/summer. But I do wish it came with a strap or something. Not a fan of constantly holding a bag in my hand, but I'll get over that quickly. LOL

I got a Dermelect Cosmeceuticals makeover Concealing ridge filler. It is a polish that is suppose to keep your nails healthy, smooth, and glossy when using this filler. It multi-tasks by concealing imperfections with a natural pink hue while treating them with protein, vitamins, and moisture. I don't really like using these. But my nails have been a little weak lately so I'm going to try this out but only temporarily.

Lastly is the sponsored item which is the Dove exfoliating body polish. We always get a sponsored item in each box. It's always something different. I do like dove products, but I have never used this one before. So I can't wait to try this out.

Now as I stated earlier, there was an item missing from our spring box. We were suppose to get a Anderson Lilley Sunset Candle in Manhattan Beach, Fresh Linen, or Super Bloom. But there was a delay in FabFitFun receiving them. So they didn't want to delay in shipping out our boxes, so they will send us the candle when they receive them. But they gave us a freebie item to make up for it. I got a Briogeo Rosarco Blow dry perfection & heat protectant creme. I just ran out of this one. So I'm so glad I got another one. I love this! It makes my hair so soft! Also it smells wonderful! I use it as a leave in conditioner or as a heat protectant. Yes it was full size that I got too!

Skin So Soft Hand Cream in Comforting Shea

I've been using this for about 2 weeks now, and I love it! While I do have other hand creams I like, this is on my top list with them.

This is definitely going to be one that I'll repurchase over and over. I have several dry hands all the time. It's from washing my hands so much. So I'm always constantly reapplying hand cream. I usually apply this right before I go to bed. When I wake up, my hands feels so soft and hydrated. I usually don't have to apply any lotion most of the day, but I do sometimes in the morning after doing my morning skincare routine.

It has a nice pleasant shea butter scent. It's not strong by any means, just very subtle. My nail beds have been dry as well, and this has be helping with that too. I have this hand cream in the Skin So Soft original scent as well. It came in my kit. After using it, I knew I wanted to purchase the Comforting Shea one. So I did. So I put the original in my kit, and kept the shea one for myself. They are other scents as well.

The Comforting Shea scent is a Limited Edition scent. We have it in a body butter, body lotion, bath oil, and of course the hand cream. The hand cream is currently on sale for $2.49. The whole line is on sale. There are some great sale deals on the other scents as well. So grab one while you still can. I plan to get a back up of this while I can. I love it that much! I hope they make permanent.

I received my BoxyCharm for this month a few days ago. This month theme was Bae cation. Here is a peak into what I got this month. I will be showing this on my Youtube Channel as well. It will be linked below. If you don't know what BoxyCharm is, it's a monthly subscription that has 5 full size products. The value of the box is usually always over a $100, and you only pay $21 a month. It's a great deal! This gives you a chance to try out products you may have never tried before, or even thought to try out. It's one of my favorite subscriptions along with FabFitFun boxes. I think it's a good box this month. It didn't blow it me away like it usually does, but that does happen once in a while. We have gotten a PUR palette several times, and they are pretty good. So this one is beautiful! I can't wait to try this one. The colors are up my alley. We have gotten Bellapierre cosmetics stuff before, and I liked them. So I will try this one when I have finished one of my masacaras. I've got 2 open right now. LOL..I have never heard of South Mane Beauty before, but I'm always up for trying out new eye gel patches. I love a good eye mask!

 We have gotten a Vintage Cosmetic before, but was happy to see it was a set of brushes this time. They feel incredibly soft! I can't wait to use them! I have heard of Pretty Vulgar. It's sold at Sephora. I was never really interested in buying anything. But now I get to try their blush. I can't wait! I got the shade Prim Vixen. It's a bright Pink/Purple shade. Not a shade I would choose for myself. But it's beautiful! I can't wait to try it out! I will say I wish I had gotten the lighter shade that some people have gotten in their boxes. That's more my shade. LOL.

I got my Ipsy bag this month! This month theme is Create! Each bag came with 2 colored markers to color the bag with. It was black & white. You can color the bag with them. You can color the bag with whatever you have at home as well, not just the 2 markers it came with. If you don't know what Ipsy is. It is a month subscription for $10. You get a different bag each month filled with sample/deluxe size products. But they also thrown in full size products too sometimes. Like sheet masks or brushes, etc. So let's see what I got!

As I stated earlier you get 2 markers. I got a small blush brush from Slmissglam. It was the SL41 brush. It was beautiful, sparkly purple/pink brush. This would be great for highlighting too, I think. You can use what you want to use it with. Nothing is limited when using brushes, in my opinion. LOL. I got Transforming liquid foil mask from Labotica. It's suppose to be for brightening your skin. It has pearl extract. Interesting! Its good for all skin types. It is a peel-off mask. I love a good peel off mask! Next up..I got an Eyeko lash alert mascara. I also got a Freematic Eyshadow from Doucce in the shade Lola. It's a pretty purple shade with some sparkle from what I can see. Last but not least is the City Color Glow Duo. It is a cream / powder duo. It has a cream highlight and a powder highlight.  I most likely won't use this. This isn't something I go for. Plus the powder is way too dark for me. I just don't really reach for cream highlight. Only ones I really like is from Colourpop. But nonetheless, I will try it out to see how it works. I will post an update later on when I have tested these out.

My All Time Favorite New Face Primer!!

Avon MagiX Face Perfector 

I'm in LOVE with this! This is the best primer in my opinion! This is going to be a must have for me. I'm going to buy this when I run out! I got this in my Avon kit, and decided to keep it for myself to try. Boy, I'm glad I did! I'll explain why!

I have worn this a few time already, and I loved the results I got from it whenever I wore it under my foundation. I usually do my skincare, and then let it sink in my skin for about 30 minutes or so before applying the Magix Perfector. One of the best things about this product that it has spf of 20. It has a nice slight fragrance. It doesn't smell like sunscreen. Also it's not GREASY!!! It absorbs into the skin so nicely. It makes my skin so velvety soft. It does what it claims to do. It blurred out my smile lines as well as my pores. I have very light lines in my forehead from facial expressions and that blurred it out too. It made my foundation last all day. My t-zone wasn't a greasy mess by the end of the day. I didn't need to blot my face and touch it up at all. Also you don't need to use a whole lot either. I use about a dime size amount or smaller. You could wear it alone without makeup as well.

I have Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation, and I can't ever get it to look good on my skin. It would look good for the first 30 minutes to and hour, and then it looked so bad. It made me look older than I was. It looked cakey and broke up badly. I tried it with everything, and got the same result. BUT..It was til I used it with the Avon's magix perfector primer that I got it to look beautiful on my skin! I couldn't believe it! It stayed look so nice on my skin, and lasted all day. I was so happy that I get to use this bottle of foundation up. It's expensive! LOL..So I can't wait to try it with another foundation that I didn't like, to see if it works with that one.

This has become a staple in my makeup routine!

High-end Highlighters I Own

I own several high-end highlighters, but not many. Let's see. I bought the Stila, Laura Mercier, Benefit one and the cover fx mini. The one from Ofra came in a Boxycharm box, and the one from The Balm from an Ipsy bag, which I paid for as well. 

Swatches Left to Right CoverFX (Moonlight), The Balm(The luminizer), Ofra (Rodeo Drive), Benefit Dandelion (Twinkle), Laura Mercier (Highlight 01), Stila Heaven's Hue Highlighter (Kitten)

As you can probably see I use the one from Laura Mercier the most. I love them all. All of them do not emphasize my textures or pores. They sit nicely on my skin, and any of the ones I use just becomes one with my skin.

Stila Heaven's Hue Highlighter in Kitten is a beautiful shimmery nude pink shade. I love this! This has a unique texture to it. It feels so so buttery! No powder kickback. It's not even powdery at all! It gives a beautiful shimmer to the tops of your cheekbones without looking glittery. You don't even feel it on the skin. Also Stila is cruelty free. This is fragrance free.

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01 Golden Nude is a soft nude shade. It says that it's matte, but to me it looks like a satin matte finish. It's beautiful! It's the one I use the most beside my drugstore one from Essence. This gives a nice soft subtle glow to your cheeks. You could use this over the face with a large powder brush for a soft glow. This has a nice soft texture when I touch it. It's hard to explain. It's almost velvety to me. There really isn't any kickback. This also has vitamin e and jojoba oil. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect skin against the effects of free radicals. Jojoba oil is moisturizing and helps soften skin. Spherical powders allow for increased comfort and blendability. This is fragrance free.This is cruelty free as well.

Benefit dandelion twinkle highlight is a pink nude shade. I love this too! Well honestly you're gonna hear me say I love all these. LOL. This reminds me of the Laura Mercier highlighter but it's slightly more pinker. But the finish feels almost the same. Once again, you can use this just on top of your cheekbones or use a large powder brush to sweep it all over the face for a subtle glow. This does give you a soft natural subtle glow like the Laura Mercier one, and it is buildable as well. This does have a floral fragrance to it. I think it smells wonderful! But it doesn't linger after you apply it. I don't really smell it when I'm applying it either. I'm sad to say that they are not fully cruelty free.

Ofra  highlighter in Rodeo drive is a gold highlighter. I wear this when I'm a little more tan in the summer time. It shows up a little too dark right now. It isn't a subtle highlight. It is very vibrant! The texture is very smooth, almost buttery. It looks beautiful on the skin as well. This is the only one I have from Ofra. I would like to eventually get some other shades I can wear. Ofra is cruelty free.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer aka The Luminizer is a beautiful champagne shade. This is a buildable highlighter. It looks beautiful on the skin as well. This has a stiffer texture, and doesn't really swatch well. It took me several times to swatch it so I could get it t show up. But it applies to the skin so nicely. It gives you a natural glow as well. They are cruelty free.

Cover Fx Moonlight highlighter. This is a mini size. But I'm fine with it. It's a decent deluxe size that will last me a while. This is a beautiful champagne shade. I fell in love with this one as soon as I first used it. This is my recent purchase. This applies beautifully to the skin, and once again gives you a natural glow without looking crazy. This size is great to travel with. They are cruelty free.
