Alicia Berenson seems to live the good life. She's a successful painter, married to a famous photographer, and lives in a nice home. Then one day, Alicia shoots her husband 5 times in the face. Since that day, Alicia has never spoken a word. Theo who is a criminal psychotherapist is captivated by Alicia's story and is determined to help her and get her to speak again, so he can know her side of what happened that day. All I can say is Wow! It's a great book! I was hooked from the moment I started reading. I kept wanting to know more. I started it Monday, and I stayed up late last night (1-31-23) to finish it. It is a mystery, psychological thriller. I really don't want to spoil anything! I mean the ending had the biggest, insane twist that I did not see coming! I was blown away. The story was intense, captivating, and passionate with a bit of violence. I still can't stop thinking about this book. I'm going to have to read more books by Alex Michaelides.
