So I got my book of the month for this month. There were 3 on the list I wanted to choose from but I couldn't afford an add-on, so I just picked one.  If you don't know what Book of the Month is. It is a monthly subscription that allows you to pick a book from a selection they curated. You have a few days to make your selection. You can choose to have add-ons. You can choose up to 3 add-ons. It is $15.99 a month. You don't have to choose a book if there isn't anything you like that month. You can save the credit for next time or choose another book from previous months. It says you can skip a month, which you can. But you will still get charged. Just the credit will be saved. Each add-on is $15.99 for the first few months. Then once you have been a member for a little bit, it will reduce to $10.99 per add-on.  I do enjoy the BoTM subscription, as the selection each month is usually new books that haven't been released quite yet. I chose The Reunion by Kayla Olson. The 2nd book I really wanted to get was Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen and the 3rd book was What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall. Both seemed really good. The selection this month was pretty good. Those were the 3 I was interested in. But ultimately I chose The Reunion.

The Reunion By Kayla Olson - Liv Latimer grew up on TV. As the star of the popular teen drama Girl on the Verge, Liv spent her adolescence on the screen trying to be as picture perfect as her character in real life. But after the death of her father and the betrayal of her on-screen love interest and off-screen best friend Ransom Joel, Liv wanted nothing more than to retreat, living a mostly normal life aside from a few indie film roles. But now, twenty years after the show’s premiere, the cast is invited back for a reunion special, financed by a major streaming service.

Liv is happy to be back on set, especially once she discovers Ransom has only improved with age. And their chemistry is certainly still intact. They quickly fall into their old rhythms, rediscovering what had drawn them together decades before. But with new rivalries among the cast emerging and the specter of a reboot shadowing their shoot, Liv questions whether returning to the past is what she needs to finally get her own happy ending.

Doesn't that seem good? It does to me. Lol. It seems to be a rom-com, so I think that will lift my spirits temporarily. Well, when I read this, it will. Lol. It states this is the editor's best romance. So I guess we'll see about that.
