My January 2018 BoxyCharm
So I thought I would start showing what I got in my
boxycharm boxes on my blog as well. I think I’ll do my Ipsy bags too. So let’s
get started, shall we?..First off I want to say I LOVE what I got this month! I
literally squealed after seeing what I got! LOL ..I’m so excited to try out
these products. I have swatched some of these, and worn the lip product
already. I’ll tell you about that a little later. I will try to post the ingerdients for each
product if I can. Also I will provide links to each product if you wish to

BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription service, and I do pay
for this myself. It is $21 a month. Which is a GREAT deal! Considering all the
items you get are FULL size, and the total value of the box most of the time is
over a $100. Just like this month box is over a total of $144. Amazing!! Most
of the time the boxes I get are a big hit. But every now and then I will get a
dud box or a dud item in the box. Hey, it does happen! Can’t expect them to be
perfect every time! Now let’s start talking about the products I got.

Dr.Brandt – Pores No More Luminizer Primer – 1oz (30ml) ($38) Full
size – I’m so excited that I got this one! I’ve been debating whether
or not to buy this. I kept adding it to my Sephora cart, and removing it. LOL
we’ve all been there with a product. LOL. Anyways.. I haven’t tried this yet,
but I’ve heard good things. So I’m excited to try it. I will do a post later on
how if I like it or not. Unfortunately this isn’t animal cruelty free.

It Cosmetic – Universal Brow Power Pencil in
Universal Taupe – Full size ($24) –
I was happy to see we got an It Cosmetic item! Everything I have tried from
them I have loved so far. Well I’ve tried mainly their skincare line, and
loving it. Anyways..I was afraid to that this color would be too light on me
because it was in the color taupe, but after swatching it I could see that it
would work just fine on me. I haven’t used it on myself yet. But I will another
post on this later on. If you are a blonde or have lighter hair just go with a
light hand when applying and if you have darker hair then go a little heavier.
Which is why they call it universal. This is the only shade they have at the
moment. The great thing about It Cosmetics is that their products are
formulated with good skincare ingredients. That’s one of the things that I love
about them. I hear good things about this one as well so I can’t wait to try it
out. Here is show you what the product looks like and a swatch as well. Sorry I
tried my best swatching it. This is also cruelty free.

Girlactik Beauty – Matte Lip Paint in Demure – Full size (.25
oz/7.5ml) ($23) – I have always wanted to try this out for a long time,
but never brought myself to buy one. LOL I have no idea why! So I was so happy
to see this! This is a beautiful shade. It’s a rosey mauve lip color. This isn’t
an color I would wear every day. I would have like to have gotten a more
wearable shade. But if this is your jam, a color you would wear every day, then
hey you do you!! Don’t let me stop you! LOL. This is a very moussey texture.
Kind of like the Ofra liquid lipsticks, but more. It does dry down matte, and
is pretty much transfer-proof. It is very comfortable to wear on the lips. I
didn’t feel like this sucked the life out of my lips. It wore comfortably all
day. Some color was still left behind after having something to eat, but had no
trouble touching up. But I probably could have gotten away without touching up
because even though it the color had worn off, it wore off evenly. No patchiness.
So I’m going to try without touching up next time. I absolutely love it! I hope
to get more colors in the future. They are animal cruelty free.

PUR – Bronze & Brighten Cheek Palette – Full size ($34) –
I haven’t use this yet, but the palette does look beautiful. I have swatched
this. And BOY is this pigmented!! You will need to have a very light hand when
applying this. The bronzer is too shimmery and dark for me, but it would make a
beautiful eye shadow. So if you don’t like a shimmery bronzer, then you won’t
like this. The blush is so pretty and very shimmery as well. I have seen this
on other people and it does apply shimmery but in the most beautiful way
possible. It just gives you that peachy glow. The highlighter is gorgeous!!
This is a BAM in your face highlight. So if you are only a fan of a natural or
subtle highlight, you will not like this. I like subtle and BAM! LOL Just
depends on my mood for the day. The texture of all 3 is so weird ( in a good
way). It’s a powder, but when you touch it, it feels so creamy, buttery. Not a
lot of kick back, of if any at all. Mine didn’t have any. This is animal cruelty free, and free of
parabens and talc.
Blush – Blushing Glow Highlighter – Afterglow Bronzer
– Mineral Glow
Here is a picture of
the swatches blended out. I tried to blend them out some, so it could give an
idea what it would look like blended out. It’s not the best but you’ll get the
idea. But like I said you will need to go light handed with this.

Last but not least..
Crown Pro – Glam Metals
Palette – Full size ($25) – I was very surprised to see this in my box!
I didn’t know that Crown Pro did makeup. All I’ve ever had from them or seen
was makeup brushes ( which I love!). It is a beautiful palette. But..To be
honest, this isn’t what I’ll be gravitating towards often or if at all. I do
like the shades punk and Pop rock. The guitar mirror is cute but not really
functional. It’s just too small to look at yourself in. Some of the shades were
very pigmented, and there are some that weren’t.
I couldn't rotate the picture but here is list of names.
1st row – Punk, Wild
Thing, Black Metal
2nd row – Rock On, Rebel, Heavy Metal
3rd row –
The Wicked, Glam Rock, Pop Rock
The shades that were pigmented were Punk, Wild Thing, Rock
On, Rebel,Glam Rock, and Pop Rock. The shades that semi-pigmented were Heavy
Punk and The Wicked. I had to go over those swatches at least twice to get it
to show up, which is fine. Then there’s Black Metal. This is a matte black, and
it was the least pigmented shade out of them all. I went over it several times
trying to get a decent swatch to show up, and it was just patchy and not
pigmented. I have other black shades that are better. But overall it is a beautiful
palette. And I do like some of shades. This palette is good enough for me to
want to try other palettes/products from them. This opened my mind and eyes to
this brand even more. After all I thought all they did was brushes. As I was
looking up the link to provide, I noticed that BoxyCharm got the price of this
palette wrong. Crown states on their site that this palette is actually $29.
